Under no circumstances should you drag the rottweiler puppy over to the accident to show and scold, chastise or rub his nose in it. Put him in a location where he cannot observe you cleaning it up.

Allow the older dog an hour or so free in the house. Then out once more at lunch and another hour or so of free time. Back in the crate. Out again around dinner time which is usually when the dog will both micturate and defecate once more.

By doing so, he can enjoy your company or can kick about with you until you go to sleep. Take him out to his potty area and then back in his crate to sleep. You can also apply the same techniques of housetraining like same potty location, same potty word and cookies, etc.

I have seen 100 % results for this training and find modifications in dogs within a duration of three weeks. You must stick to your schedule of taking him out for the potty if he successfully completes the job. Dont forget to reward or offer him with cookies for his fabulous job.
